Jane's Walk

Sunday, May 5, 2024 8:30am, 10:30am
Raynolds Addition

We will be leading our first ever Jane's Walk tours through Raynolds Addition neighborhood. We are excited to join this annual global event in honor of Jane Jacobs, an advocate for urban planning. Come join us and learn cool and interesting things about the Raynolds Addition neighborhood. Even if you have lived here a long time, you may be surprised at the hidden gems in our neighborhood.

Each walk will be about 2 miles long and take about 90 minutes. We will meet at 505 Central Food Hall. Click the link below to register for one of the guided RANA walks. Also check out the walks being held in other downtown area neighborhoods.

About Us

Raynolds Addition is a historic neighborhood located just west of downtown Albuquerque. Our neighborhood includes single-family homes, duplexes, small apartment complexes, and small businesses. The streets are quiet and lined with trees. The walking is good.

  • South: alleyway between Coal Ave SW and Iron Ave SW
  • East: alleyway between 14th St SW and 15th St SW
  • West: 6th St SW (center of road)

All renters, home owners, business owners, and property owners within our boundaries are automatically members of the neighborhood association. No dues are required to attend meetings, vote, or participate in neighborhood events.

Bike Valet

Volunteer

Shifts: 7:30-10am, 9:00-11:00am, or 10am-1pm

Since 2012 Raynolds Addition has provided a free bike valet service at the Downtown Grower's Market at Robinson Park on Saturdays from mid-April through early November.

People ride their bikes to the market and know they are safe and secure while they shop and support our local economy. It reduces car parking and is fast and convenient.

Sign up for a shift, meet your neighbors, and enjoy the market!

What is involved?

We give cyclists a claim check for their bike and hang it on our bike racks. When they return, we verify that the numbers on their claim check and on the bike match and return the bike to them. Putting a bike on the bike rack involves lifting bikes of various weights. The first shift starts with setting up the bike racks. The last shift ends with taking down the bike racks. Even if you don't feel up to lifting bikes or carrying racks, you are still welcome to help write claim checks or simply sit in our enclosure and provide an extra set of eyes to watch the bikes. It all helps!
